In this adaptation—written and directed by George Carroll for the The Dublin Shakespeare Society, Oscar Wilde’s Lord Arthur Savile's Crime follows the seemingly fortunate Lord Arthur, a young aristocrat on the brink of a perfect marriage, whose life is abruptly unsettled by a chilling prediction. At a high-society gathering, a palm reader reveals that Arthur is destined to commit a terrible crime. What begins as an amusing curiosity quickly takes hold of his mind, transforming his engagement and future into something shadowed by inevitability and dread.
