The Year Ahead

 AUDITIONS for Spring Production.

Paul Maher will be directing his own translation of ‘The Capulet’s and Montague’s or Romeo and Juliet: The Comedy’ (Working Title) in Spring 2018.

Auditions to be held in January 2018, actual dates will be confirmed shortly.

Up to 22 roles and actors of all ages are required.  The production will contain live music, so musicians and singers will also be required.

January 5th – Twelfth Night Party

The Shakes Twelfth Night Party will be held on Friday 5th January from 9pm in the Teachers Club.  So get working on your party pieces, we hope to see you all there!

Rehearsed Readings  end of 2017 season

The final two readings in the 2017 season actually take place in 2018!

January 20th @7.30pm Rehearsed Reading – Castle Rackrent by Maria Edgeworth, in a version adapted and directed by Róisín Mee in the Teachers Club

January 27th @ 7.30pm Comedies – Directors’ Choice’    She Stoops to Conquer’ directed by Emma Hurley in the Teachers Club

An Evening with Dylan

A celebration of over 50 years of music from Nobel laureate Bob Dylan, From Mr Tambourine to Adele’s Feel My Love, Dublin Shakespeare Society sing a collection of hits and lesser known gems from Bob’s extensive repertoire The musical career of this complex character chronicles his personal life and the world he lives in covering diverse musical genres from folk, to country, pop an gospel.

Rehearsed Readings 2018

A new programme of rehearsed readings on the theme ‘Love & Lust – Directors choice will be commencing in May and readings will be dispersed throughout the 2018/19.  If you are interested in directing please submit your proposed play to mctconlon@icloud.com
